Ruby is an amazing designer warehouse conversion recently featured in the LA Times along with a host of other design magazines and winner of a Melbourne Design award for interior design! She is right in the heart of Melbourne's vibrant restaurant, bar and art gallery district also affectionately known as the ‘Paris End’ of Melbourne’s charismatic CBD. She’s resting on one of Melbourne's most famous laneways - Flinders Lane – yet is wonderfully quiet and safe so you can relax and take in all that Melbourne has to offer. If you need access to a car during your stay, you can use GoGet and only pay for what you use. There are several cars very close by the apartment and signing up and getting into a car is very easy. There are MyKis in the apartment for guests to use on trains and trams and for a small fee bike hire can be arranged.
There is a large sofa in the living space with dining table for meals or stools to cook and chat. The 32inch TV and DVD player is equipped with an HDMI cable for streaming movies or other media from your computer or device.
In the hallway cupboard is a European laundry with washing machine and dryer that you can use during your stay. The open plan kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, espresso machine, chef quality Miele induction cooktop and high quality cookware so you can cook up a storm!
The ‘Unwaste bookcase’ (google it) rotates to control airflow and separate the bedroom and living spaces. There is a comfy queen bed and plenty of space, both hanging and in drawers to store your things. The apartment is suitable for 1-2 people, or there is a single futon bed you can set up in the lounge room for a 3rd person or 2 independent travellers. It’s really close to trams and trains, bike share and carshare. You can also just experience the city on foot, as it’s so central to everything!
